Has anyone seen/heard the new line-up? I'm utterly fascinated (sort of Talulah Gosh fronted by Jessica Griffin?), but they only seem to play London, grrr.

I've only seen Jessica play as a duo with Peter Momtchiloff, but they are, by all accounts, a fully cranked rawk combo now, complete with DRUMMING.

matinee is releasing a new album soon, right? can't wait. recent singles have been quite good. every band should take an 8 year layoff...

Mike, didn't we see them at a ROTA show with a drummer? I'm sure we did. They were very good. As were fellow Matinee artistes the Windmills, as I recall.

Er, was I there? I must've been drunk. Or otherwise emotionally displaced. Did Everton lose heavily or something? I am embarrassed now - not being able to recall all the recent live performances of a band who are supposedly my friends. Life's a ruin, etc.
