i thought they were only "ok"!? is anyone even going to give a damn? why was glen close there? is that how she spells her name? Really though, the new songs sounded awfull, while everything else (including songs off of the previous two records) sounded great. And I like the new record better than the last two. But after friday...

I think it's "Glenn."

Going to see them on Saturday.

They picked up steam as they went along! Here comes a city was wonderful as were most of grant's songs but born to a family and darlinghurst nights werent up to their lofty standards. they became showmen as the night wore on and were perfect by the end. not that you care because you're going to see them, but they started off creaky.

I'm glad it was good by the end. Did they play "People Say"?

I went to the Brooklyn show on Saturday, and I thought they were great. New songs sounded fine, but the slightly-old material was the strongest. (Worth noting that Robert was stage-lit so badly it had to have been intentional). Two encores. Crowd was into it for the most part, but there were quite a lot of melted brains by about 12:30 on account of the lack of A/C and oxygen.

But I'm not expecting anyone to give a damn. These are the Go-Betweens, remember?

You can hardly blames peoples for not remembering the GobEtweens. They had no hits, and this is because their songs were mediocre melodically and they themselves were fat, bald and ugly and had no talent for singing. It is simple another sad reminder of the perlous state of Antipodean musics before Michael Hutchings rescued it from the grave.
