- Greil Marcus on "Like A Rolling Stone"
- Dave Marsh on "Louie Louie"

"Heroes" by Ray Loriga. Luckily for him, the word "heroes" means exactly the same in spanish and in english.

I'm having trouble thinking of other songs that *could* have an entire book written about them. "Yesterday"? "American Pie"? "The Star-Spangled Banner"? "Reach Out, I'll Be There"? "Satisfaction"?

Cecil Brown's "Stagolee Shot Billy," if the Stagolee tradition is counted as a single song. Actually, I bet there are other books that deal with a single folk song...John Henry or Frankie and Johnnie, say. Anybody know?

I am fairly sure there are a couple of books on "Strange Fruit" already - one's about the song itself, the other is also about Billie Holiday.
