HI DERE!

Rob, as Alex in NYC says often in intros, don't take anything you read here seriously.

This is key to enjoying ILM.

So with that, welcome.

PappaWheelie (PappaWheelie), Thursday, 16 June 2005 18:42 (twenty years ago)

okay, "huge music fan," give it up: what are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

Haikunym (Haikunym), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:12 (twenty years ago)

Vancouver is a GREAT city.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:15 (twenty years ago)

"okay, "huge music fan," give it up: what are you listening to RIGHT NOW?"

And more importantly: how much do you actually weigh?

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:20 (twenty years ago)

yeah because gravity is different in canada isn't it OH THE SECRET IS OUT NOW

Haikunym (Haikunym), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:27 (twenty years ago)

I just want to ensure that Canadian concepts of size are in line with ours. It could be very embarrasing otherwise.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:36 (twenty years ago)

Howdy dude.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:39 (twenty years ago)

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 16 June 2005 20:00 (twenty years ago)

I'd like to be the first on ILM to tell you to fuck off, and that you don't know what you're talking about. Welcome!

Thanks.

"don't take anything you read here seriously."

Especially any suggestions not to take everything you read here seriously.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 16 June 2005 22:15 (twenty years ago)

...I think Haikunym scared him away.

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 16 June 2005 22:22 (twenty years ago)

hi rob! i live in vancouver too. what kind of music do you like?

Sym Sym (sym), Thursday, 16 June 2005 23:00 (twenty years ago)

i like a lot of things... i guess the mainstay is "rock" (minus the "-ist"), but yeah, hip hop, country, idm (and dm), the bizarre, the foreign, pop, yada yada... as long as it's good, and especially inspired.

But for example, i'm going to see the spoon/clientele show at the commodore tonight, and built to spill tomorrow, also at the commodore.

Rob F. (rferdman), Friday, 17 June 2005 19:55 (twenty years ago)

But would you see the Commodores?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 17 June 2005 19:57 (twenty years ago)

Yada Yada is a strain of polynesian folk, am I correct? Or is it French?

Thos are fighting words.

PappaWheelie (PappaWheelie), Friday, 17 June 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

commodores are great and all, but would they play at their namesake venue...? would they dance on the ceiling?

Rob F. (rferdman), Friday, 17 June 2005 20:18 (twenty years ago)

I thought that bride was a Kl4n member in full regalia at first, and I was about to do a George Costanza style "beep, beep, beep with backup signals" for the story.

nickn (nickn), Friday, 17 June 2005 21:16 (twenty years ago)
