So if I can get the US 12" with the following:

6:50 Round & Round (12" version)
7:09 Round & Round (club mix)
6:53 Round & Round (12" remix)
4:32 Best and Marsh

How hard do I need to work to make sure I get the remaining?

6:29 Round & Round (detroit mix)

Is the detroit mix any good? Worth the hunt?

Which one is on the Retro box?

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Thursday, 16 June 2005 19:22 (twenty years ago)

I think that's just the album version. I don't own Retro, but the track length is closest to the album version.

Round & Round (Detroit Mix)
Remix - Kevin Saunderson

(it's not the album mix)

oh nevermind, i read that the wrong way

but yes the detroit mix is imho worth seeking out

The Detroit Mix is definitely one of my top ten favourite remixes ever. Hunt that shit down. New Order + 80's Detroit from a techno godfather = you need this.

I have to dig out that 3" CD, the green inside is so beautiful (and moreso because it's miniature!).

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 16 June 2005 20:17 (twenty years ago)

ditto on the detroit mix - it's been a staple of my electrohouse sets as of late...

Yeah, I have that and like it.

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 June 2005 10:54 (twenty years ago)

Yep, I've got retro and I've not got this. You've made me want it now though.

JimD (JimD), Friday, 17 June 2005 11:43 (twenty years ago)

3" cd singles were great! "Is it a single? Is it a badge? It's both!"

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 June 2005 12:09 (twenty years ago)

Well now I've got to get it. Frustrating that there wasn't a single single that collected all the mixes. Dang. Oh well, I'll begin the hunt. Thanks for the recommendations. Round and Round is one of my favorite NO songs, but I've never heard any remixes. I just know I always want it to go on much, much longer on the album.

The picture you see
Is no portrait of me
It's too real to be shown
To someone I don't know
And it's driving me wild
It makes me act like a child

warning.. a bit expensive for the german (looks like) 5" version.

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:30 (twenty years ago)

i agree - 'round and round 'is one of the best and what's the b-side like ? is it aninstrumental ?

heter pook, Friday, 17 June 2005 14:46 (twenty years ago)

Best and Marsh? yes.

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:46 (twenty years ago)

Thanks Mark. That one's got the club mix and detroit mix but no 12" mix or 12" remix. If this discog is correct, then it looks like I'll have to get two versions of the single to get all the mixes.

xxxpost

matt2 (matt2), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:50 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, I got the 5" and the 3" CD singles. Not that I'm a completeist or anything...

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:54 (twenty years ago)

Well here's the discog I was trying to post:

matt2 (matt2), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:57 (twenty years ago)

Yeah well actually it's not. How the hell do you post a web address on this thing? Anyway, you clearly know what I'm saying.

matt2 (matt2), Friday, 17 June 2005 14:57 (twenty years ago)

Just paste the link.
