Not nearly as funny as I was hoping it would be. Moreover, Rock Snobbery is a pretty easy target -- they should've been able to do better than this.
They strive for a McSweeny's level of humor.....and, so far, are failing.

The truly horrific thing about the book (aside from it's deep cynicism about why people like what they like) is the set of lists they include, like the essential rock books, and the rock snob hall of fame, or whatever they call it. The lists are totally batshit insane, IMO. Though now I can't remember exactly what's on them.
