Yeah. What he said. And while we're at it, we don't like people only putting down three song titles. Having to add .333s to all the .25s increases my feelings of alienation and dread, just like Thom.

Nigel (Nigel), Monday, 20 June 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

how do you think Ed and Colin feel about their band's OPO not even including them (in a necessary way, i know they play a maraca and synth note, respectively)?

how do you think Ed and Colin feel about their band's OPO not even including them (in a necessary way, i know they play a maraca and synth note, respectively)?

-- Richard K

i think ed does weirdo guitar ambience (in addition to maracas) on Idioteque that's pretty integral to the song (live at least). Colin though, he's playing a synth part that's a sample on the record, so yeah...

La Monte (La Monte), Tuesday, 21 June 2005 00:30 (twenty years ago)

and i think that by 'kid a' the point was the record wasn't made by "five people playing guitars live in a room" but was created and arranged on computers - which they make it clear all the band were involved with. so it's likely they had creative influence, even if there isnt the sound of an instrument they played live on the final mix of the track.

panoptican, Saturday, 22 October 2005 02:26 (twenty years ago)

Well anything off of Kid A should be instantly thrown out, just a bunch of shit that is given grandious status by followers and pompous music critics because it is so "modern" and they are secretly in love with Thom Yorke, squinty eye and all. I would rather listen to forks being twirled in a blender.

So anyways, back to the question.

"Fake Plastic Trees" is a classic and more memorable than any other song Radiohead has done. Gots to be #1.

Oh wait let me be cool and dig out some obscure song from Hail To the Thief. "The Gloaming", yeah that song is so rad!

So to all the followers: Scott Tenorman would like to buy your pubes.
