This is a hard choice to make. HMMMM.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 23 June 2005 00:26 (twenty years ago)

Well the Count can't play fucked-up genius guitar solos and Robert can't summon thunder and lightning just by counting off, so I don't know.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 23 June 2005 00:26 (twenty years ago)

Wow, Dave Vanian really needs to take better care of himself.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 23 June 2005 00:26 (twenty years ago)

i used to hate the count, like really hate him and i'd be COUNTING THE MINUTES until the next segment came on, but he was my favorite toy in the sesame street clubhouse set - i loved how smooth and solid his hair was. i think i would have liked the actual muppet more if he was hard and smooth instead of soft and fuzzy.

and uh the same goes for robert smith. tie!!

"Hey, hey, hey, I like it when that lightning comes."

The Count would hate that the Cure are down to a four piece.

An old painted doll in the throes of dance...

Man, the Count knows what time it is...

PappaWheelie (PappaWheelie), Thursday, 23 June 2005 13:54 (twenty years ago)

...that it's LOVE!

*DUN DUN DUN DUN-DUN*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 23 June 2005 13:55 (twenty years ago)

They're both just spooked up versions of Ernie anyways.

You have successfully broken my brain there, Baaderonixx

The Mad Puffin, Thursday, 23 June 2005 14:49 (twenty years ago)

Where is the love for Count Chocula?

k/l (Ken L), Thursday, 23 June 2005 14:50 (twenty years ago)

This is the best way to spend the last ten minutes in the office for the week. Thank you, ILM. Your gifts are never ending.

Big Loud Mountain Ape (Big Loud Mountain Ape), Thursday, 23 June 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

I came to this board by complete accident and now I believe it was a gift from God.

Anyway, let's count all of the former members of The Cure...
One.. Two... Three... Four (this is going to take a while)

Oh, wow. My goodness. What an awesome thread!

there's only about a dozen former members, including sessioneers - they save a lot by people coming back in years later (Porl's just joined for the third time, Roger's left for the second, Simon left twice but no-one noticed the second, Boris rejoined for a day on the Acoustic Hits session...)

Simon left twice but no-one noticed the second

I was about to say, when was this?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 24 June 2005 13:08 (twenty years ago)

Sometime during the black hole of the period 1993-1996.

Die Emanzipation von Baaderonixx (redukt) (Fabfunk), Friday, 24 June 2005 13:22 (twenty years ago)

When was that guy in the pink suit in the band?

k/l (Ken L), Friday, 24 June 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

A brief time in 1983, when The Cure tried to do 'Pornography - The Musical' without Robert.
