Catie Curtis... contemporary "non-indie" folk music... where stand we?

Okay, Catie Curtis is hardly ILM defensible. She's post-folk. But along with Martin Sexton, Ellis Paul, Willie Porter, etc., she' not half-bad! And her track Falling Silent in the Dark has brought me to tears in some better moments.

What sez you?

I was listening to some Jon Spiers & John Boden last night and it sounded pretty good, but I know almost nothing of contemporary folk that is actually from 'inside' the scene, instead of Alasdair Roberts style stuff.
