nagisa ni te: rfi/s&d/c or d?

one of my favorite records of last year was dominio's "best of" collection from nagisa ni te (and apparently their earlier incarnation as the halleujahs), songs for a simple moment. soundwise: equal parts japanese folk ala ghost, neil young at this chasing one note down a dirt road for 20 minutes best, television at their most pastoral, the velvets of "i'm set free," etc. unfortunately these recording seem to span about 20 years, substitute (admittedly excellent) live takes for their album counterparts, etc. so i have no grounding in what actually constitutes their sound -now-. (plus i've never seen any other [import] albums around, and they'd likely be more than i'm willing to spend.) anyone else familiar? what do you think? any info?

I've been trying to get Songs for a Simple Moment for a while now. I just found this online store by searching google - they have quite a collection. Check it out at: http://www.forcedexposure.com/artists/nagisa.ni.te.html

Cheers,

Chris.

Sampled a track from this Naoki Zushi IV record, and it sounds like something I'll need to give serious attention.

Ah, here I was settling in to scroll back to the top and read 150 posts about this band and...

The Yosuga record from 2008 is awesome. There was a month or two some years ago when I played it a ton, and so the band has always been somewhere in the back of my mind, but every time I've gotten into the right mood for the music they make, instead of exploring deeper I just end up thinking, "......actually what I really want to do is hear Yosuga again."

The band name translates to On the Beach, which is exactly the Neil Young nod it implies. They took the sound of the title track and settled in.
