The Blue Up? live band

Prior to being a camgirl, Ana Voog was basically a one woman band in The Blue Up?, but they were a full 3-piece band when they played live.

Who were the other two people? Did they ever do anything else? Did anyone ever go to a live show? I heard they baked brownies for their audiences.

The Blue Up?: Rachael Olson (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Carolyn Rush (bass), Renee Bracchi (drums).

Renee has continued to play around Mpls with Machinery Hill (accordion-driven Celtic/klezmer/rock) and more recently with Felonious Bosch (mid evil music for the new dark ages.)

I used to see some Blue Up shows; never received any brownies, however...

Weren't they a "real band" on record, too?

I get the impression from the All Music Guide that she did most of the work in the studio, along with Bobby Z. Maybe that's what he meant.

Either way, Spool Forka Dish, is a great album. Especially blasting XTC.

by the way. All of the Voog and Blue Up albums are available for free download http://anavoog.weblogimages.com/weblog-images/. This is legal. I found these from Wompa's link to her journal.
