Let us never speak of it again

That shit is crazy. You best continue to speak about it, because it will continue to be crazy. Them have the most beautiful hair/riffs in NYC.

And Cavendra Banhart plays drums for them.

Seriously though, that is a great record.

seriously.

Agreed. Yota is the jam. As is 'seen from a hill' (I think) on the 7" comp w/ ground monkeys, tan as fuck and someone else I can't recall.

Mouthus are a good band. Also: White Rock.

Man, I haven't been keeping up with Troubleman but seems like they're on this hip no1se tip for real.

White Rock sounds interesting.

Yeah, Troubleman is a weird label... I haven't heard their new Mouthus record; any of you?

heh was just thinking the other day, 'whatever happened to mouthus' after marcia bass3t posted a pic of em on her fbook page

saw em live once, endearing mixture of mildly inept 'funky' drumming and big clouds of guitar-fx fug.

sʌxihɔːl (Ward Fowler), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 11:26 (eleven years ago)

i curse myself for never having seen them

john wahey (NickB), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 11:30 (eleven years ago)

It was part of a David Keenan curated-fest here in Glasgow - quite a line-up!

That United Waters record is pretty cool, I definitely like the guitars on some of it, and that description is a good one. That label (Bathetic) has done some great records, but I was mostly cold on Mouthus so will need to see if this one has more staying power.
