naus (Robert T), Friday, 1 July 2005 04:25 (twenty years ago)

That's ok, you can be 92. Mine was sort of a nerdy joke.

billstevejim (billstevejim), Friday, 1 July 2005 04:48 (twenty years ago)

No I'm pretty sure it's an organ. awesome version.

Jole, Friday, 1 July 2005 07:39 (twenty years ago)

Seeing as Joe already picked Yes' "Awaken", I'll go for Spirit's "Soldier". I'll be amazed if this reaches 100!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 1 July 2005 07:45 (twenty years ago)

Talulah Gosh (s/t) ... what an incredibly pompous end to a song!

Jez (Jez), Friday, 1 July 2005 07:51 (twenty years ago)

No I'm pretty sure it's an organ. awesome version.

yes, it's one of those truly bizarre stand-alone mini-pipe-organ things; i remember seeing him playing it on the MTV unplugged set. i'd never really paid attention to neil young before, but that made me sit up and start taking some serious notice.

i was going to say toccata and fugue as well. can't think of anything else, sadly.

85. Ennio Morricone's "Sixty Seconds to What?"

Jazzbo (jmcgaw), Friday, 1 July 2005 22:03 (twenty years ago)

But only on the original, 1 track ver. of the album. Reissue actually excised the extended free pipe organ soloing! ...LAME.
