Dancehall 'refix'

'raindrops' riddim 2 CD set has a 'refix'. That's the 'normal' tracks being chopped in length (whole thing shorter by 30 mins), added noises and track order reconfigured. maybe its the novelty but I prefer this kind of thing, I only feel like needing maybe 2-3 vocals per riddim.

but anyway, how common is this? any other riddims that have gotten this treatment? or other types refixes, remixes, mixes, etc?
