You looking for just some fun or deep instrumental, something with a meaning in the lyrics, any/all of the above...? I would go with a fun instrumental myself, the first one that leapt to mind was "Chicken Grabber" by Nighthawks.

That song they used to play to introduce Michael Jordan's Bulls in Chicago.

"...and the MAN in the MIDDLE..."

At my wedding, I made the band play Aqualung for our introduction. It rocked.

The band was totally into it. It beats playing Celebration for the zillionth time.

yeah, you gotta figure they'd appreciate a little variety every once in a while.

We did "Walk this Way" with Run DMC - but seeing as how both my name and my wife's name start with "A", the A-Team would have been infinitely better.

PB, the Chicago Bulls song was Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project. A good choice.

That's the one.

And you'll need to dim the lights (save a disco ball and a lone spolight), and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen will have to form two parallel columns to give high-fives and butt-slaps.

"She's No Lady, She's My Wife" by Lyle Lovitt

one year passes...
During traditional Jewish Weddings, there's a part when the groom and bride come out from the Yichud room and the DJ/band/etc says, "Now introducing, for the first time as husband and wife..." When Charlotte and I came out, the guy said that, and then the band started drowning him out with The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop. Greatest wedding moment ever!

three years pass...

Thoughts on this one? I wonder if there's anything similar that would have a similar effect... R&B/pop crew, any ideas?
