I like Oar, but Mayo kicks a bit of butt here.

corky's debt to his father is pretty much perfect. i like oar too but i don't continually listen to it at least once a month like i do with corky's.

Both great but Corky's is much better.

Corky's Debt! Looks like no contest here.

I never could get into Corky's much so I have to dissent and put in a vote for Oar. "Horses" and "To You" from Corky's are awesome though. Gotta love those rubbery bass lines.

Corky's - for Horses alone.

It's a real winner, and is always the song I pick to play for folks.

It's an acquired taste. My favorite it is the last one, Worried Worried

Ah great record! Hadn't thought of it in ages but i'd just seen the cover art, among my choices, whilst setting up my new Spotify. The tune that always stood out for me was, i believe, the last cut. Is it "Worried, Worried" or "Worried Blues" ?? Whatever it is, i dig it to the utmost. I wonder what Mayo Thompson's private life is like? Ala the Oar thread. Lol! Just kidding. I do know that he's quite the intellectual i.e. exceptionally well-read. And very much a "man of the world". And man, has he made some killer fucking records, his own and many other peeps.

Oops i see just above it is indeed Worried, Worried.

"Margaret-Tiger Rug" could SO EASILY be a song from the second Red Krayola album.

Oh yeah. That really sparse one with the great, sloppy bass. Love the line about how, "she's got muscles in her eyes". Lol. I think Skip liked it to às you can hear him laughing on the track.
