There is something totally loathesome about the Beatles, something I really despise about them. Yet whenever I say this to people, I find it almost impossible to formulate a coherent argument as to why this is the case, and find myself conceding a lot of the things people respond with. Somebody please tell me they hate the Beatles, and why.

I can think of at least 5 good reasons to hate the Beatles:

1. John Lennon 2. Paul McCartney 3. George Harrison 4. Ringo Starr 5. George Martin

But then I carry a but of a grudge, as I share the last name of one of the dead ones (who died too early to make the list above, plus he had the smarts to quit) and my first name was in honor of another of the dead ones. (Having a Beatles-obsessed mother is another good reason to hate them!)
