HEY HEY, MY MY: A Tribute To Neil Young

Neil's a bored teenager in North Ontario ("I Am A Child") whose only joy has been rock'n'roll ("My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue") since his parents broke up (the first two verses of "Don't Be Denied"). Getting in his beloved black hearse ("Long May You Run"), Neil drives the California where he gets together with some friends and joins a band ("Mr. Soul") amidst the chaos of the sixties ("Ohio"). The band goes on tour where Neil has a variety of life-changing experiences, witnessing racism ("Southern Man"), enjoying camraderie ("Roll Another Number") and meeting pretty Pegi ("Cinammon Girl"), a waitress who captivates him. Neil begs Pegi to be with him ("A Man Needs A Maid") but Pegi finds Neil too possessive ("Love Is A Rose") she leaves him alone and tormented ("Like A Hurricane").

Neil has become nostalgiac for the serenity of Canada ("Helpless"), and, uncertain if the rock life is for him (last verse of "Don't Be Denied"), calls his father ("Old Man"). News comes that one of his band members died of a heroin overdose ("Tonight's The Night") leaving Neil further distraught ("The Needle And The Damage Done"). Neil reflects on his tempestuous time in the U.S. ("Sugar Mountain"), but eventually decides to stick it out...in the name of rock ("Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)").

For the encore everybody prances around to "Rockin' In The Free World."

ramble on, a led zepplin tribute

revolving around a group of scottish youth and their tortououse relationships the night befour one of the couple's goes to india travelling.
it should definately begin with the chorus singing Immigrant song and end with kashmir. I think the house band should be aranged around the set, with a drum toup taking over from bonzo, and a bunch of electric guitar players.

The entire show should be "Kashmir"!

Concerning the adventures of two boyhood chums, Stephen & Johnny, as they flee the cruelty of their school Headmaster and dodge the local fairground Ruffians. Will the Golden Lights of international stardom be theirs? Only the Charming Man knows for sure!

All I've got so far is the visit to Syd Barrett's house, and the "Jailhouse Rock"-like rendition of "When God Snaps His Fingers" on the prison boat.
