It's a draw for me.

"Don't Give Up on Us Babe" is still listenable today (by that I mean you can listen to it without wincing). "Let Her In" just showcased how poor a singer Travolta was, regardless of his star turn in Grease. Soul could actually kinda sing.

Alex in NYC has just summarized this perfectly.

It was an awful song and the David Soul song was tolerable. I always thought the song was called "Let Her In" to create confusion with Wings' "Let 'Em In."

(Who will be the spoiler/devil's advocate who will come to this thread to bat for "Let Her In"?)

I had "Let Her In" included in the songs played at my wedding. It's a tear jerker.

never heard "Let Her In," but "Let Me In" is 100% class.

NYC OTM.

The production on "Let Her In" is good. I don't think anyone else could pull that song off except for Trovi.

It needed that whispy, innocent singing.

Let me just say one thing: Ick!!

Actually that's what I said the first time I heard it, on my sister's record player, when it first came out.

Taking Sides: Travolta's "Let Her In" vs Wings' "Let'em In"

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 17:12 (twenty years ago)

"Let Her In" is a marginally better song )though I confess that "Don't Give Up on Us" is intriguing for the way the verse and chorus are the same part). But Travolta couldn't sing a lick, whereas Soul was totally unspectacular but also totally OK as a singer.

This feels like one of those scoreless ties that isn't a defensive masterpiece but just a game full of wasted opportunities.

Funny, but no contest. Wings kicked horshack's ass.
