No, seriously...

Hey now, I always cut Gerard some slack, and not just for all the music. Years back when he was hanging around a.m.a., there was some crudulous 'The Future is Here with Generation X!' spooge in Newsweek or something -- sidebar had him listed as one of 'thirty people under thirty to watch!' I asked him about this dubious honor and he quite rightly noted that Generation X was an okay-enough band.

ten years pass...

they were great in glasgow last night, and are playing in London tonight - so go!

(i have never before seen a group handing out earplugs to the audience!)

I went to the gig in the OP! Versus didn't play though.

Just noise and screaming and no musical value at all. (Colonel Poo), Thursday, 6 December 2012 09:26 (twelve years ago)

I went to the OP gig as well. It was very loud.

Blimey, 10 years back together …

Manfred Mann meets Man Parrish (ithappens), Thursday, 6 December 2012 09:41 (twelve years ago)

I saw them in Leeds , Tues night. They didn't seem that loud.

Quite disturbingly, my mate's ears were still ringing when I spoke to him last night.
I have doubted the integrity of my ears for years.

I thoroughly enjoyed , despite them not playing 'Academy...'

The support band, Broken Arm, were a Leeds lite version of Pissed Jeans but not nearly as good. The beardo guitarist even had the same dodgy leg movements / on stage lack of finesse
