The lineup is pretty shitty... but since it's free, and it'll be one of the last Q and Not U shows, I'll most likely be there.

I got there at 4:30. Spoon was OK (singer told the crowd they were too smart to sign up at the Army recruitment table). The gal who dances in front of the jukebox at Ruby's was... consistent.

i ended up going, unexpectedly. i didn't really like any of the three bands i saw. the beach was nice and eerie with the fog settling in around 6, though.

if this was the midnight show at mercury lounge ... not sure what was secret about it but it ws a pretty sick show

they played until 2am and then I saw pix of them onstage at the pitchfork fest in chicago the next day at like noon o_0

A) Watch Grand Duchy
B) Watch Future Of The Left
C) Ride the Cyclone
D) Eat at Nathan's
E) Eat at Di Fara

The above is neither in chronological order, nor order of preference.

The line-up doesn't blow me away, especially at the top, but I will be in the neighborhood (seeing the Yankees on Friday night) so it seems like a fun afternoon and maybe bands I am not that familiar with will impress me and my posse. Plus it is free. And did I mention the Cyclone?
