jumping off a few threads a little while back (one concerning a new way of considering genre and another i can't quite remember), lets have a thread where we organize the output of musicians age and world-wide by image.

(since so many reviews go witht the whole this song/record sounds like X tableaux its an obvious jump)

to start:

Robert Wyatt: Rock Bottom
Ride: Nowhere (though arguable, the cover of this record might be the perfect image genre and i might want to retract this)

Can't we just do another list of which Pavement songs we like?

Holy shit, b b -- those schizo images above of increasingly jagged and splintered cats appeared in my Abnormal Psychology textbook several years ago, freaked me the fuck out.

thats louis wain....he painted cats, went mad, cats went mad.

(to be fair it was entrance's drummer that reminded me of him...i think the pix were in my psych 101 textbook too. he seems to be the icon of schizophrenic art....and now theres a whole society of people (esp on the web) trying to get people to take his older, more sane work seriously)

b b, you have no idea how much time I've spent searching the internet for that cat image. I have it in an ol' Psych book at home, but too lazy to scan it.
