We are extremely proud to announce that Boards of Canada have finished and mastered their new album, to be released in October - their first release since 2002's Geogaddi! The album is very much classic Boards, building on themes and sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip.

i haven't listened to it in ages, but i fucking adored it.

i remember listening to it while waiting for an hour at mount vernon station on the outskirts of glasgow, staring at an enormous quarry. the perfect way to hear it, to be honest.

I put on the Hi-Scores ep at the weekend, a reminder of how much BoC pwn the "electronica" scene, and have done for about 7 years. Pretty much their entire output, remixes and all, is just *better* than nearly all their peers and imitators.

Do you think there'll be similar listening events this time round, like they did for Geogaddi with the churches etc?
