2 Questions: Calgary Alternative Station Circa 1995 & Chart Archives from around that time?

I'm looking for two things, and I don't know if anyone might be able to help - googling has proved unsuccessful thus far.

I recall when around 1994/1995 there was a station from Calgary, possibly at 1040 AM that played alternative rock, a non-campus station and changed formats to talk or sports or something like that shortly thereafter. Any Calgarians who recall the name of the station?

And I'm also looking for alt/college charts from 1994/95 - but unfortunately most of the archives (CMJ, Chart, etc.) don't reach back that far.

In '97 there was a station in Calgary still playing the alternative rock, which I think included some Sheryl Crow along with Beck, Butthole Surfers and Soundgarden. I can't remember the station, but I do remember those idiotically long days during my career in drywall hearing "Pepper", "Devil's Haircut" and "A Change Would Do You Good" about 6 times daily.

Hmmm, I don't know that that's it, but do I specifically recall hearing Jawbreaker's Fireman quite a bit.

Oh, okay. You mean alternative music, not Alternative Music.

I think they played both, perhaps similar to the format on Seattle's The End?

That was Mix 1060.

They changed to some odd jazz vocal format in late 95. Lots of rat pack, rosemary clooney, etc.

Mix 1060 had an Australian DJ named Skye Taylor, who got deported because her visa ran out.

They had a show during weekday evenings where they would play music by local alternative acts and have them in to do interviews and stuff.

Well, I loved that station!

Yeah, it was a great station.
