Brooklyn Country Music fest

man, I love Freddy's to death, best bar in Brooklyn, but the music usually sucks, let's be honest...

I think I've been there exactly twice, and it wasn't bad!

huh, my answer got eaten. I was just pointing out that your right, I'm totally being unfair -- Freddy's totally does their own thing, has put together and husbanded their own scene. DIY and all that, and some of it is definitely good. I'm just a grumpy dude when it's this hot, plus any "Brooklyn country" fest without Oakley Hall is missing the point, which is, of course, Give It Up for the Freaks!

I had my 30th birthday party at Freddy's, with members of Oakley Hall, the Cunts and other awesome folks doing a Doug Sahm/Sir Douglas tribute for me. Ma and Pa Thrumbo were there, too, and even they think Freddy's is the best bar in Brooklyn...
