We used to sell the fuck out of Jam Pony tapes at the record store i worked at in high school. I was a surly longhair and didn't understand the tapes or the appeal.
When I got into college and heard about chopped and screwed music, I knew all about it from the Jam Pony tapes, but never in my wildest dreams could have imagined that JPE fucking INVENTED that shit!!!!
I really blew it by spending my high school listening to Primus.
I always listened to their regular (not screwed) mixes in the store, but never bought any, since i couldn't see spending $10 on a tape. I blew it.
