Whats happened to Kevin Fitzgerald's song?

i used to be a huge Kevin Fitzgerald fan when he as on subpop. He did one of the greatest songs ever when he sang "Bo Acid" from his album Bloodclot. I also liked most of the songs that were on his follow-up, Bastard Case. Yet he signed on with Warp records in 1997 and his recent records have just sucked dick. what do you think?
