Was this covered by someone famous? I've searched all over online but couldn't find any proof, but I swear I heard this late nite on 106.9 in Connecticut last night, and it def. wasn't KJ doing it.

Lets change that to Wardance, one word... sorry!

"The Wait" was covered by Metallica.

And there was a couple of debates of whether a Songs About Fucking Big Black song essentially borrowed heavily from "Wardance", but I listened to the Big Black album in question recently, and I didn't hear anything that lept out and Honoured some Fire, at least to these ears.

That said, there are two versions of the song.. the album version has the really distorted vocals, and the single version not so much, and it's a different recording, i think. (this is the "Wardance/Pssyche" 7")

Perhaps it was the single version then... thanks Donut.

Well, don't rule out the fact that someone else covered it! I'm sure many Joke songs have been covered.

Yeah but with my lack of success on it, I'm going to take the easy way out lol

This song rules. MUSIC TO DANCE TO

They played it live when I saw them a couple years ago.

"War Dance" has been covered by the bizarre Japanese band, Mad Capsule Markets, and can be found on this album.

RE: Songs About Fucking, I'm of the mindset that "L Dopa" is especially derivative of the SINGLE VERSION of "Wardance" (read: not the rendition that's on the album). Listen to the rendition of "Wardance" that's on The Unperverted Pantomime? and see if you agree.

And yes, it's "Wardance" and not "War Dance" as I typed incorrectly in m'first post.
