NYCers,

Does anyone know any good shops to get dancehall/hip hop mixtapes around williamsburg? All the main shops are way too white and indie to have stuff like that, and I found a great place in Clinton Hill that had stacks of mixes, but I want something closer. Recommendations?

* Need a re-up of Negro cool? Cop that new Kay Slay jawnizzle right thurr and soak that shit up! And big-up to all the Brooklyn bootleg cats that I holla'd at on Thursday morning. And no, you can't buy my shoes off of me, they cost more than your power bill, homes. (Word to neighborhoods where my wardrobe costs as much as the collective assets of everyone living there).

Be specific about "mixtapes". Do you mean someone who loves all of Hip-Hop and makes actaul mixes of classics, or do you mean the medium for "entry level Hip-Hop" (as the mixtape circuit calls itself) where current MC's rap over premade beats?

And South Williamsburg/Bushwick is not "White". It's "dangerous".

Aren't there like a ton of stores on 8th st selling these? Or Chinatown? Or a subway station?
