Seven years have passed since ex-Micer's two Spinart records (Shelter from the Smoke & Transit Byzantium). Just revisiting them this weekend...such beautiful songs, gossamer-like recordings. I want more already.

The only indication I know of was a line in the promo notes for last year's Mice reissues that went something like, "Bill Fox gave up music years ago, but he's hoping to come back to it soon." I've read about mentall illness or emotional problems accounting for his long absences before and after the solo albums, but nothing specific.

three years pass...

Out of nowhere, Fox has scheduled two shows in Cleveland in the next two months. The first one is this Thursday at the Beachland Tavern and the second is February 28th, also at The Tavern.

This stuff is really excellent, had the Mice records for years and I guess never looked into Bill's solo work? But a friend brought him up in a text and now I'm obsessed.
