i received a mix cd from a friend of mine today. supposedly he downloaded a 50 or so minute set on 1 mp3 from somewhere on the web. anyway, on it is this fantastic reworking of the nutcracker theme laid to an excellent beat very similar to alot of the dabrye i've recently been listening to. i have no knowledge whatsoever about the track though - the date it was put out, the label, anything. a shot in the dark but where better to ask?

It's not Bee Bumble and the Stingers, is it? Early 60s, I think. Big favourite at children's parties.

Sounds like Jeanette, "That's How It's Got to Be". She's a German pop star -- a soap opera actress (Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten, I think) and a Britney Spears kindasorta lookalike.
