Been getting into this type of stuff lately as it's more funky and loose than micro/electro house, but not as dreaded as a lot of stuff that gets labeled "funky house."

Some names:

Lindstrom
Prins Thomas
Reverso 68
The DFA (as a remixing entity)
Idjut Boys
Glimmers/Glimmer Twins
Ray Mang (although I haven't heard his LP)
Chicken Lips
Justus K

I guess Mylo could be on this list if he ever got his act together. I've also heard good things about DJ Harvey's Black Cock label.

Any other suggestions?

Predictable suggestioni, but have you heard the last 2 Metro Area eps? Also ILM fave Isolee, the new album has at least 2 or 3 great tracks. It's probably worth it to go to http://www.flexx.be and just listen to all the previews.

The name of this thread makes me happy. Might as well be titled "list of music you can't possibly hate within!"

Oh yeah Dan, I dig Metro Area and Isolee, although I don't know if I would lump them in with the rest of these producers. Thanks for the Flexx link though.

And, Fezaffe that mp3 is 279 mb! What the heck is it?

Brennan Green
Le Dust Sucker

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Friday, 29 July 2005 03:38 (twenty-one years ago)

seven months pass...
Anyone heard Jamie Lloyd's "Movin In" single? Excellent stuff, including an impossibly expansive, slothful remix from Brennan Green. But Lloyd's tracks are great too, they sort of fit in a space between Metro Area and Perlon/Music For Freaks - lush, highly percussive epic disco!
