That's just genius.

Best comic strip ever. No lie.

Andy K, Sunday, 10 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ooof. I am humbled. Most excellent.

That really captures everything that is great about Tarkus (ie the art work)! Cool! I would love to see Tarkus vs. Madonna.

Filled with beauty, it is. Al returns!

This = genius, and even better that "kargorrok, eater of souls" by savage pencil. I have posted the URL on a couple of prog mail lists. We shall see if anyone there "gets it". I always wanted to do a vietgrove gig poster showing either the clash being crushed under a roger dean style upside-down mountain or sid vicious being decapitated by peter gabriel, but this is 1000x better than any of that. Al Ewing = my new hero.

Norman Phay, Sunday, 10 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Better than 'My Fighting Technique is Unstoppable'!

dave q, Monday, 11 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Absolutely brilliant.

Dan Perry, Monday, 11 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

it's getting an airing on rec.music.progressive - and there's some ridiculous guff by one poster who seems to have it in for freaky trigger big time!

philT, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Heh heh heh. Why do I have a feeling this person's name might just happen to be G*****a B*b, perhaps?

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

His post is v. funny - "I doubt the Strokes have even heard of David Gedge!"

Tom, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Therein lies the reason why I could not take the Pazz and Jop poll seriously...

Nicole, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I did like the trashing ol' GB got in return on the thread:

"As far as I can tell, the cartoon is drawn by a self-confessed fan of The Strokes. Your fantasies about snobbery and anti-US bigotry have a very tenuous connection to what's actually on the site and are probably just a hangover from old Usenet flame wars."

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's STAGGERING how long people can hold grudges.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 14 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But he wears it like a crown.
