Can you help me find the name of the song

Motherfucking fuck. I heard a song in CVS this morning and have the last line of the chorus stuck in my head on repeat. It's kinda a folky or countryish adult contemporary song with female vocals. Probably from this last decade or so.

The last line is something like "you'll miss me/and I'll be missin' you". I diligently google searched this and couldn't come up with any good hits so it might not even be the exact phrase.

I'll probably have to go spend my lunch hour there to try and hear it again - pretend to be real interested in nasal sprays and such...

I went back to CVS, but "Drops of Jupiter" was playing, so I hightailed it out of there.

Fuck. Unbelievable. I was in Kmart today and it came on, but I left my phone in the car and didn't have anything to write down the words. Could barely hear them anyway because the speakers were so far away. Plus I'm sick and on a whole lot of robitussin and can't think straight. Anyway, the one thing I can remember is that it's not "you'll miss me". It's something more like "you remember me" or "you'll remember me". Goddamn it, it's probably going to be another five years before I hear this again.

I can't help you, but I identify. I recently found one that had been in my head (instrumental, so even futile Google searches are out of the window) for about 5 years, playing at the end of a TV documentary that I got with Shazam.

In case you don't know already, I have had some luck with phrase searches in google (using quotation marks) and asterisks for the words you don't know - in your case searching '"you * me and i'll be missin you"' etc might turn it up. Good luck!

"query by humming" services actually work pretty well - if you can remember any of the tune, i'd recommend trying that out first.

Google says it's either Wiz Khalifa or Reba McEntire.

is this song haunting you because it's *so good* or because you have a psychological need to catalog all the music you hear, regardless of quality? with me it tends to be a little of both.

Steve Poltz who co-wrote "You Were Meant For Me" tells this great story in concert about getting wasted in Vegas and having crazy misadventures and getting thrown out of a casino onto the sidewalke where a busker is performing "You Were Meant For Me" and he screams "You owe me money for that" at her and takes all her change

Hadn't heard that song in years. It reminds me of hanging out in my best friend's room, ages ago, smoking and drinking and whatnot. It was her favorite record for a while. I usually just wanted to listen to Alice in Chains or something, but 'You Were Meant for Me' always kinda got to me. Still does, if I'll be honest.
