I saw this L.A. guy in Brooklyn last night. Very entertaining, weird retro-disco stuff with great stage gimmicks. This video is funny, sexy, and revolting at the same time.

He also looks strikingly like Weird Al.

i predict this will be the next 'big hit' the second mtv gets ahold of it. the production quality is good enough to get significant airplay and its a catchy tune.

one hit wonder coming right up!

I wouldn't be surprised it's a hit, Kennedy's been working with ex-New Radicals Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois.

Ooh - guaranteed hit-machines the New Radicals.

In theory I could see this getting MTV airplay, but in practice it sounds unlikey without some major label backing. Still, it is catchy -- maybe one of the newer vid channels will give it a chance.

I'm not too fond of the non-disco stuff I heard on the site (the straight rock stuff).

He was very good live -- he didn't have his band in town so he got three female friends to play cardboard instruments while he karaoked to his own CD. He made obnoxious comments about their asses and danced around the club with a blue-and-red-flashing fake cocktail glass.
