Got indifferent reviews. Very indifferent. Unfortunately.

I'm going soon... Adam Rickett played Heinz when it was in Manchester. Sadly (?) not in London.

Indifferent reviews? Pih.
I saw it in Guildford during its rep run, and really enjoyed it. It's quite ..ah... "brutal" in places: there were quite a few blue-rinsers in the audience who left during the interval, presumably due to the considerable amount of four-letter-wordage. There's no attempt to replicate the music; whenever the band is about to go into a number, the stage darkens & the PA strikes up.
Reminded me most of Jez Butterworth's play Mojo from the late 90s. Same low-life pre-beat coffee bar vibe.

three years pass...

The movie of this finally comes out today (in the UK) after what seems like years in post-production. The trailer is really cool. But will it ever cross the Atlantic? Coming soon to a torrent near me, hopefully.

Featuring Carl Barat as Gene Vincent (?), Justin Hawkins as Screaming Lord Sutch and Ralf Little as Chas out of Chas'n'Dave. I want to know if Glenda Collins is a character in it because I fucking love her.
