How is it? Is their performance as good as they used to be? Is their sound well fit for huge theaters? I just want to find out before I plop down 60 bucks for one of them.

If their current performances are anything akin to the live dvd/cd, Toward the Within, I'd say it's totally worth it. No pyrotechnics or stage-diving, but a truly hypnotic performance.

Brendan Perry's voice seems to be better, Lisa Gerrard is a bit different but still amazing. There's a 2 CD best of from the European Tour available at www.dcddiscs.com if you want to hear for yourself.

I'm flying to DC to see them this fall, so $60 to see them sounds like a bargain to me!

You're not going to regret it!
Attended the concert in March in The Hague (The PWA-zaal has 2161 seats. Is that a "huge theater"?)
Clear sound, (still) two of the best voices around and excellent musicians backing them up. It was worth the 65 Euro and I'm definitely not the biggest DCD-fan around.
Oh, and do buy the cd/dvd from the show before you leave. I forgot (still regretting).
