Wait, Clenched Fists, Black Eyes 7 seconds, um Wasted Black Flag, Loser, Descendents, oh my god, you weren't asking for recent hardcore were you? That would be mostly gross.

Biggest happy hardcore anthem of all time would probably be Shooting Star by Bang!

Although I highly recommend you check out anything from the Kniteforce back cat from Mr. Luna-C. Check out Kniteforce.co.uk

There is a track called "Return To Toytown" - it's one of the best Hppy Hardcore tracks I ever heard.

Angry Samoans, "Lights Out."
The happiest song about self mutilation ever.

well, i'm just looking through my shameful collection of mid-nineties bonkers happy hardcore compilations and i'd recommend:

highlander - hold me now (bass-d & king remix)
hixxy & bananaman - together forever
antisocial - need your love
brisk and trixxy - legends
brisk and trixxy - back to the top
seb - rainbow islands (sharkey mix)
visa - fly away
4 tune fairytales - take me to wonderland
dj daydream - make your own kind of music

Actually, if you can find the DJ Hixxy mixes from the various early Bonkers compilations (I lost track around Bonkers 3, I think they're up to 15 or something by now) you should listen to them. Pretty much every song on those is absurdly catchy and upbeat (and on occasion, bizarrely poignant).

Tim F, Saturday, 30 June 2007 04:50 (eighteen years ago)

That "Bonkers" series runs to about 20 volumes, mostly 3xCDs. No wonder it's subtitled "Journey Into Madness".

everything, Saturday, 30 June 2007 05:01 (eighteen years ago)
