As in say, the 'perfecto' remix of 'bobs your uncle' by happy mondays.
perfecto of course being the very people who put the hours in at the studio with the scally 'erberts. didn't mirwais rejig the madonna stuf he did too? it's not that common. it's weird.

what about adrian sherwood.

suspect there are many examples where he produced the 'normal' version and then ripped the original to shreds with his dubbed up distortion excess for subsequent single releases.
