Hi, I have this One-Man-Band called Mother in Law. I'm 17, I'm from NY/NJ (Dad lives in NY, Mom lives in NJ), and I play Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, etc. I bought Cakewalk last week and I finally learned how to work it on my Laptop. I recorded this song I'm about to YSI and played it for one of my friends in NYC who works in a record shop. He said "This is the Tits (Tits meaning Great, Awesome, etc.)"
He told me to post it on this site so...here I am. I listen to a lot of Sigur Ros, MBV, Slowdive, and Bedhead and I guess it shows.
My name is Mother in Law because I want my band to be someone you don't have to like, but someone you respect and obey (like a Mother in Law). The song is called @:38 AM (Drumless). I was going to put Drums in it but I'm lazy. I'll do it later and post it.
Here it is

I haven't listened to this yet, but I just wanted to know, gasolina,if you are familiar with the Ernie K-Doe song "Mother-In-Law"?

Thanks, Brainwasher.
I'll think I heave sleigh bells somewhere in a Xmas box. Thanks for the suggestion.

It was a great New Orleans novelty song, basically a guy complaining about his mother-in-law, with a great bass vocal hook on the words "mother-in-law," provided by Benny Spellman. Well, you have plenty of time to catch up on the oldies later if you're interested.
I like your song too and agree that it's cooler without the drums.

I have heard that song. I had to download it for my Aunt because she really hates my Grandmother. I totally forgot about that song.
