five years pass...

I'm listening to the NEW new compilation, ComMerz:

disc one Dead Eyes Opened, Adolf A Karrot, A Million Angels, Goodbye Tonsils, Bless The House, Now An Explosive New Movie, Halo, Petrol, Mambo First Miasma, Blast Patter, 20DD, Hot With Fleas, Nature Ten, Canine; disc two Greater Reward, All Saints Day, Big Car Retread, Pilot In Hell, Twister, Heart Of The Party, Snow Remix, Choose Evil, Sevs In Space, Pinagoal Hank, Oblique Firefly Overlocker, Kittenette, Pilots Hate You, We Choose Moon, Bigfoot, Snuck.

And it's quite great.

Adolf a Karrot - memories of listening to that track after school with my weird mates in 1983.

I just did a post on my blog about Severed Heads:

http://acuterecords.com/blog/?p=15

due to being forward an amazing clip of them on TV, Tom Ellard discussing how he works and explaining how he gets his source material. Watch Tom put a mic in a watermelon and drop it out a window! Watch him scratch up and melt a record so it skips real bad then sing on top of it, see, there's rhythm and melody to that. Really cool.

And I'm glad Twister made it onto the comp. Always one of my favorites.
