Duran Duran reference

I remember seeing a movie (or some sort of moving picture) where there was some producer or manager who made some sort of bogus claim that "before he met them, they were just 'duran'" (or something like that). A hint is that the movie is not barbarella. Anyone know where this quote is from?

I believe it might be the Hal Needham comedy "Body Slam" with Dirk Benedict and Roddy Piper. It's about a music promoter who starts a craze mixing rock'n'roll and wrestling.

I'm sorry for being so vague, I've been trying to crack this one for years and don't actually remember too much except for this one vague idea of a genius line. As for theodore fogelsanger, I dont believe I've seen or even heard of body slam so I'm not sure that's it.
