argh. actually i don't think i've ever listened to a whole album, at least not his non-stop party or easy classics style LPs. the Voodoo Party LP (will most likely cost you 10-15 bucks/pounds) is a fantastic easy/afro-rock set (save for the two stupid Last-penned tracks), and 'Happy Brasilia' on Beach Party vol 1 is absolutely slamming Batucada (seriously!). beat-heads like Beach Party vol 3 for the break on Put Your Hand In the Hand, and i think Well Kept Secret was recorded in the US with a soul, or good studio at least, backing band. the Hair album is ok too

oh i forgot, there's a mailing list called something like 'Beautiful Music' which is full of Last-lovers. very scary
