I'm going to go with "More Than a Feeling," though "Don't Look Back" is amazing and "Peace of Mind" and "Hitch a Ride" are close.

This one is easy: "More Than a Feeling."

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 17 August 2005 06:51 (twenty years ago)

"Long Time"

I've heard too much Boston over the course of a lifetime. I'll take "Amanda," though I almost went with "Can'tcha Say You Believe in Me." Have no need to ever hear "More Than a Feeling" again.

SOMETHING ABOUT YOU

"Rock and Roll Band" ... because any 70's era tune about being in a band and/or touring is automatically that band's best song.

zaxxon25 (zaxxon25), Wednesday, 17 August 2005 12:12 (twenty years ago)

"I hide in my music, forget the day" says it all. To be sick of that overplayed song is understandable but it's still an incredible production - I love the way that final "Away..." fades and fades but never stops entirely.

"Rock And Roll Band" is hilarious because it's so fabricated, far removed from the actual story of a "band" signed on the basis of a polished-up demo.

More Than A Feeling

The outro of "Don't Look Back".

Edward Bax (EdBax), Wednesday, 17 August 2005 16:41 (twenty years ago)

"Don't Look Back", followed swiftly by "Long Time".

"More Than A Feeling" is a childhood favorite. Also, N'Sync do a suprisingly cool cover that's just them singing it over a slowed-down hip-hop loop.

Peace of Mind... though the N'Sync cover is remarkably good, yes...

Bryan Moore (Bryan Moore), Wednesday, 17 August 2005 18:59 (twenty years ago)

"More Than a Feeling".

Anyone wanna YSI the N Sync cover?

Alex = OTM.

Also, "Used to Bad News" and Something About You" are pretty sweet, yes.

Can't help but think the title of this thread is a bit deliberate, no?

"Don't Look Back" is pretty darn good. I appreciate the production on these songs now that I'm several years removed from listening to the classic rock station of my youth.

It's more power pop than I realized then when, well, I had no idea what power pop was.

Classic rock station overplaying aside, Boston > The Raspberries.

I heard "Amanda" on the radio today and after it was done, the DJ said "...well, that one's seen better days"

lol

not my favorite Boston song but I wasn't sure where else to put this very minor lol

Nobody in this thread said "Hitch A Ride," you're all dead to me.

Peace of Mind > More than a Feeling

Overall this band is annoying. My parents love that album with the flying saucer (their only one?) and I grew up in a household that had it in multiple formats

Treeship, Wednesday, 12 June 2013 21:47 (twelve years ago)

Phil D otm. Hitch a Ride is the best song of theirs

Yeah I'd probably change my vote to "Hitch" today, given the chance.

They made more, and they all have spaceships on them.

It's more than a feeling
(More than a feeling)
When I'm living on spongecake
Watching the sun bake

I begin dreaming
(More than a feeling)
And I'm smelling all of those shrimp
as they're beginning to boil

...

All of those tourists covered in oil.

I instinctively respond with "More Than A Feeling," but I dunno, there's something about Foreplay/Long Time that really might be it for me.
