Goodbye Waylon

I know most of you don't give a shit about country, but the loss of Waylon Jennings is something to be remarked upon. I think he's a great, souful singer, a stylish architect of the Outlaw country sound and look, and just a cool guy in general. He did staggering amounts of speed, smoked three packs a day, drank like a fish a made it to 64... He was around my whole life, and I'll miss him. Now you can talk about Bjork or whoever... but I'll put on my 45 of "We Had It All" and cry in a glass of Strohs...

Its not that I don't care about Country, its that since Waylon's generation almost all of it is complete crap.

Waylon, Willie, Merle, Hank (the first), Cash.

They just don't make em like that anymore.

Thirded. It's funny how all those old speedfreaks drop dead around sixty. Dylan's next.

A damn shame. My dad's more of a Willie Nelson type guy, but Waylon ranked up there for him. RIP indeed.
