Had "Everybody's Got The Right" and "The Ballad of Czolgosz" rattling around my head this past week. As someone who mainly knows the original cast album, I've never really warmed to "Something Just Broke".

I played Sam Byck once and won an award for it.
One of my fav musicals. "Gun Song" is phenomenal

A friend of mine who died couldn’t stop talking about how great this musical was, when he was still alive. Dare I break the seal?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it (esp the use of "patriotic" music) if you do break the seal!
Was thinking of you when I revived this, Neanderthal - I finally got to see this performed a few months back at a local community theatre, and Sam Byck is such a large part of the show as staged but not someone who's part of the standard songs/cast recording, which is my usual relation to Sondheim.
(not a lot of Sondheim threads on ILx - slowly dipping into Sunday in the Park with George)

The documentary Six By Sondheim is up in YouTube in full. Can’t recommend it highly enough, my loves.
