i mean, come on, the fact that they allow people like him to play should be a reason to shut it the fuck down ASAP

Richard Wood Johnson, Friday, 2 September 2005 20:50 (nineteen years ago)

Kristal is an idiot. His lease *runs out* and he's running around giving soundbites like "I'm not leaving without a FITE!!!" Seriously, what the hell.

Breathe in, breathe out.

Oh god, I was thinking for the last half hour that you were telling me to calm down. Then I realized that you were quoting godawful Bush song. FUCK, NOW I'M MORE PISSED OFF THAN BEFORE

deaf dumb and thirty
starting to deserve this
leaning on my conscience wall
blood is like wine
unconscious all the time
if i had it all again
i'd change it all

infested, polluted :: 80 tons of mercury dumped in a bay :: it's bleeding there's no proof :: that's no way to treat a good friend :: your whiskey talks louder :: than most things i've read you said :: it situ. in place :: now sit back unwind and relax

big cheese is all greed :: it's all relative what you needed :: happy birthday here's your nerve gas

all the fisherman and their families :: all sickly crumbling cerebellum :: it's all over for urang-a-tans :: looks like they're back on the street again

mistrusted, disruptive :: rape land :: and kill good habitat :: world weary, world broken :: well spent :: and money money money :: injected, transmuted :: 80 tons of mercury :: dumped in a bay :: it's breathing :: it puts the dog :: in the basket

all sickly :: growing sentimental

invaded, downgraded :: your bile lands :: right in my head :: uncalled for, unwanted :: my sinking zero tolerance

it's all over for urang-a-tans looks like they're back on the street again

this is the first time yogic techniques made me even angrier

Why should anybody care if it closes? It's not like young original bands have played there for 10+ years. If anything they play well established pop-punk bands, and if their rent keeps going up (which it no doubt well) theyll have no option but to keep playing big bands. I don't understand why these old school punks are so interested in keeping this place open just because of its historical value. Some iconoclasts they are.

isn't just a disney-style cash cow now? if i'm not mistaken, they just sell high-priced merchandise to wide-eyed tourists!

richard wood johnson, Saturday, 3 September 2005 19:55 (nineteen years ago)

Having just come back from intending to see the Friday show, then checking out the scene and selling my tickets, I don't know what to think... except that Gavin would probably fit right in.
