I really don't understand the Kaiser Chiefs hate on ILM. If you don't like them, stick to your Pulp records. It really is that simple.

otm.

I haven't heard the other reekkid referenced, tho, so googley could well be correct (shrugs).

ILMers don't like the Kaiser Chiefs because they are "sellouts". And they love Kanye West because he's a sellout, that's simple.

I don't understand the hate either, but then I don't understand the the rampant love others have for them too. Maybe it's the keyboard players porkpie hat.

Never heard the song in the thread title but it sounds like they based their career on The Yachts ' Suffice to say'.

?????????

I don't know why we need another thread about them, that's for sure.

i thought it was because they aren't very good.

frenchbloke (frenchbloke), Monday, 5 September 2005 13:13 (twenty years ago)

I think they are disgusting.

I think they're kind of ordinary bordering on OK-ish.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 5 September 2005 13:22 (twenty years ago)

I'm kind of confused as to why anyone wd find enough to be disgusted about there, actually.

Actually that reminds me, we played at a big MC club rally at the weekend, and one of the lower bands on the bill was a punbk covers band (top of the bill = the damned! I saw w/my own eyes capt sensible, from a distance of abt 500 yds) and amongst such numbers as, oh what the fuck ever, a bunch of '77 timeless classics, I forget which actual numbers they played, they actually played "i predict a riot"!!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Monday, 5 September 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

it sounded pretty terrible, I must admit.
