For the truly retro among us... Anyone have any particular favorites?

No particular favorites, although Monteverdi wrote a few which are fun to sing. I think that we should revive the madrigal as a form of pop music.

And lo, it was done!

I am receiving this week the final masters of 'Shakestation', the first album by Super Madrigal Brothers, Adam Bruneau and John Talaga. They have adapted some of the world's greatest madrigals, playing them back with the sounds of the Nintendo Famicon and the Gameboy. Furthermore, they have melted their own mechanical timepieces with a welding torch, so they resemble the liquid clocks of Salvador Dali.

Although this album is coming out on my own American Patchwork label and I might be expected to be hyping it, I can genuinely say that this album is one of the best things I have ever been involved in (I was only the midwife in this case). I love it to pieces. And so shall the world, sometime in June or July.

Momus, you are a shining beacon in this cruel, cruel world.

That sounds fantastic! I'll be looking for it. Do you know what songs they chose?
