Pop Music Studies Conference in Seattle, April 11-14

I've already told some of the Nedtopia massive about it, but it looks really cool: whole buncha crits/academics/some performers wrestling with the same kinda stuff we do, at length, and in front of crowds. I need to visit Seattle anyway, I have some old business to take care of (e.g. finally settling my old check account, which still has some money in it), and friends to visit, so I'll definitely be there....

wow, something finally works out for where i'm going to be geographically at a given time. i'm down.

If I'm not on the road driving through cornfields in the HOARTLUND of AMURAKHANA, I'll gladly help out in organizing anything outside the conference that hints at citywide debauchery.

I'm still deciding if this conf. is something I'd be willing to pay for, but again, I'd love to organize meets outside this at any rate (again, if I'm in town)
